TEACHER APPRECIATION IDEA

This was an idea I used last year for the teachers at my son's school.  Since he had a couple of new teachers this school year, I decided to do the personalized hand sanitizer bottles for the new teachers.  I bought some hand sanitizer bottles, removed the labels with goo gone and then attached the names and dots vinyl stickers to the bottles.  I ordered the vinyl stickers from a sign company locally.  To finish it off, I added some pretty ribbon.  I used the school colors; red and black.  The nice thing about this, is that it can be refilled again with hand sanitizer, lotion, or hand soap.

KINDER GRADUATION PARTY

Lucas's Kinder Grad Pool Party

This was my son's kinder grad party that was held at Spanish Oaks Pool Pavilion in Bee Cave, TX on May 12th, 2012.

The pool area was excellent for kids of all ages.  Waterfalls, beach area, lap pool, cascades and bridges was perfect for every guest.

Lucas (middle) is graduating kinder at the end of May.  He was a VERY happy boy.

Since the pool area, cabanas and pool furniture, were so beautiful, I chose not to decorate it with any party decorations.

Favor bags consisted of bubbles, sunglasses, mini beach ball and glow sticks.  I created some favor tags and attached it with a ribbon.

Aside from the favor bags, I also had sea animal water pistols attached with thank you labels.  The water pistols were put in a green bowl with a orange ribbon.  I created a label and attached it to the bowl for kids to take one.

Lucas's gift table.

On the gift table,  I had Dr Seuss's book 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!' for guests to write a message, note or advice for Lucas.

The beach buckets were used for table centerpieces.  I used different colored buckets, wrapped a ribbon on them, attached a label, added a pin wheel and used shredded colored paper.  So adorable!

The dessert table had different assortment of candies in buckets with name labels on them.  I also used a crate to display the swirl pops and inserted the pops into styrofoam covered with candy.

Since it was a pool party, we decided to serve grilled hamburgers (veggie burgers included), grilled hot dogs, assortment of chips, veggie cups (pic above), and fruit.  My husband forgot to take a pic of the food table; maybe it was because he was busy grilling burgers and dogs.

As appetizers we served an assortment of popcorn in these cute beach buckets (provided by a close friend) and for the adults we also served chips and salsa.

I wrapped the forks in napkins, tied them with rope and glued a 'lifesaver' mint on the rope.  Cute huh? Get it 'life saver'?  I put them in a beach bucket and labeled them with a cute tag.

We had lemonade and tea served in these beverage dispensers and labeled accordingly.  We also had water bottles and soft drinks in big plastic tubs.  My husband forgot to take a picture.

Even though the Toy Story cake did not go with the pool party theme, we decided to order it since it was his day.  It made him happy.

Even the adults were having a blast!

It was all worth it!

Hosting a Friends Baby Shower

Morgan's Baby Shower
Sweet Little Girl
No 1

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in April and the weather and location in Texas couldn't have been ever better to make this special occasion memory last a lifetime.  This shower was held after the baby was born.  Here are the details:

Morgan's Sweet's Table - consisted of a variety of candy in beautiful glass jars.  I ordered some pink and white polk a dot treat bags and customized sticker labels to attach to bags.  Just adorable!

On the glass jars, I put a simple but elegant black ribbon around the jars and attached labels on them for that extra touch!   Food card labels were created and designed by me.

The damask white frame was used to name the table 'Morgan's Sweets Table' in pink and white striped paper.

This was the cake table - cake not pictured, food cards were held up with these really pretty black and white damask card stands.

The party was held at my friends house with seating area outside and inside.  We had linen table cloths and the centerpieces consisted of one fresh flower arrangement in the center of the table with beautiful quilted candles on a rhinestone plate on each side of table.  So Classy! The white chairs were decorated with white, soft pink and black tulle wrapped on the back rest and gathered on the center with a silk flower, or a chiffon and pearl flower decoration.

The gift table was set up outside.  The table was covered in sparkly chiffon fabric.  We had another damask white frame like the one on the sweets table but with another saying printed on striped pink and white paper 'Morgan Sweet Little Girl No 1'.  Very Chanel!

We served pink champagne, pink lemonade, and water.  Most guests went for the champagne and and pink lemonade.  We used champagne flute glasses to make it look sophisticated instead of plastic champagne flutes.  This added another extra touch!

Since party was at 2 pm, we figured people had eaten lunch, so we went with cold finger foods - Chicken Sandwiches, Tuna Sandwiches, fruit salad, a cheese, grapes and crackers platter, spinach dip and Veggies & Dip.

Since we used glass champagne and lemonade glasses, we went with glass serving plates.  We decorated the fork jar with the same matching ribbon that was used throughout for decorations.  We added rhinestones to the ribbon.

The cake was simple and yet pretty.  The pink cupcakes were champagne flavor. Yummy! We also had chocolate red velvet cupcakes and both flavors were in mini size or regular size.

We used the wrought iron dress from the baby's room to decorate and hold a black ribbon necklace with a soft pink chiffon rose that was given out to guests as they entered for 'Don't Say Baby' game played throughout the party.

We used food label cards customized for the food menu.  Cute idea - clear cups were used with a dallop of ranch dressing on the bottom and added celery, carrots, and broccoli for a special touch.

It was a beautiful day to have people sit outside.  Everything turned out beautiful, elegant and classy.  It was so much fun planning this shower for a very special friend and her new beautiful baby girl.  And remember:
